Deck and Balcony Surfaces

Over time, deck and balcony surfaces can deteriorate due to improper construction, water intrusion, weather element exposure, or wear and tear. These areas can be resurfaced using special waterproofing products.

Some common signs of deck or balcony damage include:

  • Widow, door, or door threshold leaks
  • Deck or balcony staining
  • Deck or balcony surface peeling, blistering, or chipping
  • Railing posts rust
  • Waterproof membrane exposure

Some decks and balconies have sloping issues from construction and water is pooling on the balcony or intruding into the interior space. These issues require the slope to be re-leveled to move the water away from the interior spaces.

When property managers hire Metro Property Services to repair their buildings’ deck and balcony issues, we initially make a visual inspection of the area and meet with the consultant or engineer (if they are onsite).

Next, the project manager and estimator create a remediation plan to solve the water intrusion and other issues related to the decks or balconies. Each project is different and requires experienced technicians to make quality repairs in order to solve the problem at its source.

Below are a few projects our commercial waterproofing team completed recently.
