Metro Property Services, Inc. was founded in Jacksonville in 1991 primarily as a commercial
and residential roofing and waterproofing company. However, after listening to requests from clients who wished they had one
company to handle all their needs, the company has developed a niche as a full-service building maintenance and repair company
that works directly with property managers. With clients from South Georgia to Palm Coast, Metro’s
revenue grew by 32 percent over the past three years reaching $3.7 million in 2007. According to company president John Moore,
the staff has grown at a corresponding rate.

“We made the decision to create a company structure that would allow managers in each
of our four divisions – roofing, waterproofing, painting and general contracting/tenant improvement – to run their
own segment of the company,” Moore said. “Each is motivated to operate their division as if they owned its success.” Along with business partner Dan Davis, who has been principal and vice president of the company since 2002, Moore
handles company operations and makes sure his staff and skilled craftsmen deliver prompt, professional and courteous service
at all times. -Laura Jane Pittman
